Get the care you need with no drive, no wait, and no copay (for most plans). With Kaiser Permanente’s many telehealth options, you can visit the doctor without the visit. Your care team will even have access to your medical records to personalize your care.

Same-day telephone & video visits1

Now you can get same-day or next-day adult care—by phone or video appointment. Get care quickly for certain minor symptoms such as sore throat; cold, cough, or allergy symptoms; nausea; or bladder infection. Your Kaiser Permanente doctor will be able to view your medical record, prescribe medicine, order lab tests and X-rays, and make future appointments, if needed. Appointments are available Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The service is also available on holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m, except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Specialty telephone & video visits1

Get care from wherever you are with telephone or video appointments for specialties including Behavioral Health, Dermatology, Ear/Nose/Throat, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurology/Sleep Medicine, Ob/Gyn, Oncology, Pain Management, Urology and more. These visits can be conducted right from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Ask your doctor if a video visit is right for you.

Send an email to your doctor’s office for answers to non-urgent health questions or email a pharmacist. Just sign on to kp.org, or register if you haven’t already.

Fill out an online questionnaire, and based on your responses, you’ll be shown self-care advice or recommendations for the best way to get the care you need. You can even get a prescription written and sent to the pharmacy. It’s great for certain common symptoms like fever, coughing, stuffy nose, and pain when urinating. To schedule an  E-visit, go to kp.org/appointments.

To join a Video visit

From a computer, log on to kp.org; go to the ‘Appointment center’ and view ‘Upcoming appointments’; then click ‘Join appointment.’2

From your smartphone or tablet, log in to the Kaiser Permanente app; go to ‘Appointments’ and select the ‘Upcoming’ tab; select your visit; then click ‘Join now’ in the ‘Appointment details’ window.2

1 For members  who are registered on kp.org and have seen their doctor in the past year. For phone and video visits, due to IRS rules, if you have a HSA-qualified high deductible health plan (HDHP), you’ll pay the full cost for scheduled phone and video visits until you reach your deductible. Once you reach your deductible, your copay will be $0.
